Koby the baller

Last night Koby had another basketball game. Before it started a guy told us that Koby's team was going to get killed. The team they were playing against has won all of their games by about 30 pts or so. Even though Koby's team plays hard and most of the games are close, they have yet to win a game.

So last night, Koby played so well! He had about 10 steals during the game and he played defense so aggressively! Both coaches and all of his team members kept telling him how well he was playing. I think Steve was most proud of the fact that Koby got a foul. Apparently he told him before the game that it's ok to foul, just not too much and that he should play aggressively. Way to be obedient son! He is also a very good passer and is a decent shooter when he is willing to shoot.

With only two minutes left in the game, Koby's team was up by 2 pts and then it went downhill. As a very proud mother I believe that the team's downfall was pulling Koby out of the game at this point. The coach put his own son into the game and they never scored another point and had many turnovers. Sadly they ended up loosing by 8 points.

One other thing that I am proud of Koby about is his sportsmanship. There are a couple of guys on his team that have kicked the bleachers, slammed the ball, swore and pouted after all of their losses. Not my son-in fact I told him if he ever did something like that I would drag him out of the gym with by his ear. He just takes it all in stride and says that he had fun anyway and did his best.

We were so proud of Koby for playing so hard and really stepping up to help his team. Way to go Koby!
