card shark

Last weekend Morgan asked us if we would play Phase 10 with her-it's a card game that we have played before. So we started playing around 8 PM. At 8:30 Koby got home and joined in and we put Maylee to bed. We then played until nearly 11:00 that night. We had so much fun! We laughed and laughed. Morgan laughed so hard she nearly peed her pants and Koby was bent over in half laughing. I loved it! I can't wait for Maylee to be old enough to join in.
Does Koby have a good hand or not? Hard to tell huh?
Morgan has the worst poker face of anyone I have ever played with. Her eyes get big and she breaks out the huge grin when she gets a card she needs, often even saying YES! On the other hand she mumbles when the card is bad. But despite this, she won that night.
Can't wait to play again! I just love spending time with Steve and my kids!

Little pepper

This girl LOVES peppers! She eats them by the handful and can't ever seem to get enough. Steve will cut them up and put them in a little bowl for her and she just gobbles them up.
This is right after she ate the last of the peppers from the bowl and then turned to me and using the ASL sign and the word said "more".

Christmas

A lot of pictures from Christmas-I realized I am not in any of them. Oh well. Everyone loved their gifts and it was a nice Christmas.

A hairy good time

A friend of mine gave me an afro for me to use as a white elephant gift. The girls loved trying it on before we gave it away. I wish I could have gotten a picture of both Steve and Koby wearing it but they didn't even put it on!
Morgan and Maylee decided to fix Steve's hair before we went to the party.

Advent-all the other days

We weren't really good about taking pictures of everything or of actually doing something everyday. It seemed like other day-to-day things kept getting in the way. Here are some things we did and a couple of pictures. Reading Christmas books (the girls and I did this while Steve and Koby were at scouts).
We found a fun new favorite holiday book called "Aliens love Panta Claus"-it's so cute-check it out! *We made sugar cookies, decorated them and ate them! *We went shopping at the dollar store so that everyone could get something for everyone. It was kinda fun to find treasures at the dollar store and then try to keep them hidden from each other. Morgan seemed to really enjoy this-she hurried home and hid the gifts and asked everyday if she could wrap them until I finally gave in and said go ahead! *We watched Christmas movies at my brother's house with his family. *Had our annual FHE Christmas party where Morgan asked everyone to help act out the Christmas story
*Read the Christmas story from the bible. *Had a fancy dinner at home. I asked everyone to dress in nice clothes, and we had a nice yummy dinner with candles. After Morgan insisted that there be dancing in the "ballroom" since that is what you are supposed to do after a fancy dinner.
*We wrote thank you notes. *We went to temple square in SLC and saw the lights. Beautiful!
So even though the last days of December were hit and miss, we had a good time and really enjoyed the holidays!
