Tongue tied

Maylee has learned a cool new trick. She loves to make a tongue taco.

She also loves to stick her tongue out and blow raspberries.

Winners

Koby got 1st place at a wrestling tournament at Provo high last weekend. Maylee got 1st place at being so cute! Look how serious they both are-what competitors!

Waiting

Everyday either Steve or I and the girls run out to Mapleton and pick up Koby from wrestling practice. Koby isn't know for being on time, so we often sit and wait-sometimes for a very long time. I am usually prepared with toys for Maylee and Morgan's homework. Earlier this week we waited for an especially long time and to keep us entertained we pulled out the camera.

Morgan doing homework and making faces...

Maylee-making faces and pretending to drive...

My girls sure are gorgeous!

So glad we made it to Friday...

We have had such a busy week. I feel exhausted now that it's almost over.

On Monday we went to the Festival of Lights. It was Maylee's first time and she loved them!(Festival of lights is where they have a lot of lights and you just drive your car through and look at them.)The awesome car in front of us even paid for us!

Koby was really excited too! After the lights we went shopping and got a few gifts for the angel tree. Every year we all pick out a new ornament for the tree so we did that too.

On Tuesday Koby had his Christmas orchestra concert. Morgan's friend Lilly got to sit with us so that helped keep Morgan entertained. Maylee was so good, I think she liked the music.

Koby did a great job-I can see how much he has improved since last year.

On Wednesday Morgan was in the 1st grade play. She was a narrator and had her part memorized the day she brought it home. The play was so cute!

On Thursday Maylee woke up and began throwing up. I spent all morning holding her because whenever I put her down she would wake up, start crying and then throw up. At noon I called the doctor and they got us in 15 min later. She was diagnosed with another ear infection-this was her 5th in 5 months. We were referred to an Ear, nose and throat specialist. Amazingly, they were able to get us in later that afternoon. So we ran over to that dr's office after picking up her latest rx. They decided that she needs to have tubes put in her ears so, again amazingly enough, we were able to schedule her for the surgery on Tuesday. This was the highlight of the whole visit.
Maylee was so good-even though she felt miserable and we had to wait for quite a while-she just looked at books and played quietly.
Thankfully the antibiotic has already kicked in and she is doing better. I am kind of nervous about the surgery just because she is MY baby and she is so little. But I do know that it will help her in the long run and it will be nice to have a healthy baby.

Tonight Koby has to go to another concert for school, we need to get some more shopping done. On Saturday we have several Christmas parties to go too and Koby has a wrestling tournament. So more days packed full of stuff. I am starting to think that being snowed in at home for a couple of days sounds pretty heavenly!

Maylee @9 months

It's crazy how fast the past 9 months have gone by. I can't believe that Maylee has been part of our family for a whole 9 months already! I can't put her physical stats on here since we haven't been to the doc yet but I can tell you a little about her.

Maylee is a very happy friendly baby. She says Mom (1st word) and Dadda (2nd word). She is quite the chatter box-she is like her sister in that she loves to hear herself talk. She smiles a lot. Morgan makes her laugh more than anyone else-something Morgan is very proud of.

Maylee is like a little worm-she is moving all of the time. She can turn herself around in a circle while sitting on her bottom w/o falling over. On her stomach she likes to scoot sideways and backwards. She can army-crawl in a forward direction a little bit but only if there is something she really wants just out of her grasp. She also pushes up on her toes and stretches but hasn't quite gotten the crawling down yet.

If she is holding something you can tell her to shake it and she will. It's especially fun for her when what she is shaking makes noise.

When one of us walks past her if we don't talk to her she starts to cry and sometimes when we leave the room with out her. She likes to be the center of attention but she is also pretty good when we put her on a blanket in the middle of the floor with a box of toys.

At her babysitters house she is the star attraction. After I knock on the door in the morning I can hear kids yelling, "Maylee is here!". Once the door is open we are surrounded by kids yelling hello to her. They also have created a song about her. Pretty cute!

We are so lucky to have Maylee as part of our family!

Wrestling Koby

Last night Koby made the varsity wrestling team. He beat two other kids in his weight class to get the position. Way to go Koby! We are so proud of him. He has worked really hard and learned really fast. Great job!
