Summer fun!

Last Tuesday I went to visit my parents, help Rick and Tara pack and help my mom babysit my nieces. It was a crazy couple of days. Here are the kids sitting still and being fairly quiet for a very brief time. Koby is so great with all of his cousins! It was great to see everyone. Rick and Tara's house is looking so great! Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures, but luckily Koby took several of the girls.
First he had to pose them...

Then he took some of himself...

Morgan really got into the pioneer spirit.

On the 24th we went out to dinner with Grandpa Zabriskie and then to the Owlz baseball game and had a great time. After the game there was fireworks-they were really good.

On Friday night we went camping with our ward. It was pretty fun. We were barely out of the car before Koby was off with his friends playing. Koby stayed busy climbing up and down the mountain, playing tag and goofing off with his friends. Morgan got her face painted, hit the pinata and made a new friend. It was a very relaxing quick camping trip.

Who ever called them the lazy days of summer must not have had kids because there was nothing lazy about the past week!

Jam-packed weekend

Whew! I can't believe how much we crammed into this past weekend! And we had so much fun too.
On Friday I snuck out of work early so that I could go to Rick's therapy. It is so awesome to watch him. I hadn't been for a while and to see how much he has improved is just amazing. He really works so hard-he concentrates and just pushes himself in everything. He told his therapists several times that he would just do whatever they wanted him to do and if they asked him if he thought he could do something he would just say-I will try. I can't believe how strong he is! I didn't realize how hard he and Tara work at home every day on his physical recovery. You guys are just awesome! The Jamba juice was a cheap bribe so thanks for letting me come and watch.

That evening Koby and Steve were at scout day camp so Morgan and I had a 'girls night'. Morgan requested that we watch princess movies, play barbies and paint our nails. We did all that and went to the craft store and out to dinner and made bracelets. I made about 8 for Morgan. She loves them and if you see her she will probably be wearing all 8. I think she had a great time and even though I am not into all the girl stuff I had a blast just being with her.

On Saturday the kids and I did some shopping. I am very happy to say that Koby is now all set for 5Th grade. The problem now is to keep him from wearing out his new clothes before school starts. Saturday night we went fishing-well Steve, Koby & Morgan fished while I took pictures and read my book. They caught 3 fish and we had a great time. Even Morgan was holding the fishing pole with Steve when he caught the first one. It was a really pretty fishing pond! Koby had fun trying to gross Morgan out by showing her the worms. She wasn't too sure about them.

On Sunday after church we met for family home evening up at Old Tucker. We had dinner and hung out for a while. It was so much fun. Koby had a great time with the fire. He helped build it up and then enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Morgan had a ball playing in the dirt.
It is kind of shocking to see Morgan so dirty-she is my little princess who has to change clothes about 3 times a day because of a spill on her shirt. This week I am again taking some time off work. I am planning to go and help Rick and Tara pack up and hopefully move into their new home. If nothing else at least I will get to spend some time with them and my parents. Oh and my nieces will be there. Speaking of nieces-I just found out that Matt and Mindy are going to have a girl-another niece is on the way. I am excited because I have learned to make a lot of things for little girls. Koby I am sure is going to be sooooo sad because he will still be the only Werry grandson! Good thing that girls love him. (of course that won't be a good thing anymore when he hits his teens!)

Part of the herd

Ok so when I first started blogging my sister and sister-in-law were both on spaces live and so that made things easy because I would be notified of updates or new blogs. Cool huh? Now they have both switched to blogger and I didn't want to copy them. Amazing to believe but I like to be just a little different from the main stream. Not way different but for instance if I notice everyone around me has curly hair I get my hair straightened. If everyone has straight hair, it's time for a perm. Anyway, I was told how much easier this blog site is so I figured I would play around with it (just to prove them wrong!) and then I came across 'cutestblogontheblock' and it was so much fun to use and it really makes my blog look like a lot of fun. Corny huh? So I created this new blog. I am not going to delete my old one but I will put the link on it and blog here from now on. So now I feel like I am part of the herd but I hope I will find out a way to be just a little different.
