Jesus told me

A couple of days ago Morgan and I were at Walmart. We were picking up a few things and as we walked past the baby clothes, she asked, "Mom when can we start buying clothes for the baby?"

I told her that we needed to wait a little while until we know if the baby is a boy or a girl.

She looked at me and said, "Jesus just told me-the baby is a girl!

Guess we will find out if she really did receive a spiritual message around about March 22nd.

Happy Fall y'all!

I am very excited for fall. I love the crisp evening air, the way the leaves burst into a million colors, getting ready for the fall/winter holidays and knowing it's time for the seasons to change. I like pulling out all of the clothes that were stored through the long hot summer. I love that it's not yet snowing outside but it's also not a blistering heat either. I hope that y'all are enjoyin' this beautiful time of the year too!

Cool mom?

On Saturday evening we scored some free tickets to a concert at UVU. We decided to let both kids go with us and since we had one extra ticket Koby brought a friend. The concert was for Safety suit and it was pretty awesome.

Morgan loved it! Koby & Daniel tried to be very cool and say it was all right but I think they liked it too.

So am I a cool mom for taking Morgan to her first concert at the age of 5?

She loves, loves, loves music.

Or am I a bad mom for not getting her a sitter and keeping her home? Saving her ear drums from the noise?

I am not sure...but on a positive note-this band is very inspirational. They talked a lot to girls about not letting anyone tell them they are not beautiful just the way they are. They even had all of the women/girls in the audience sing/chant back "I am beautiful".

Well no matter what-for the moment Morgan thinks I am an awesome mom.

50 miles

On Saturday Steve and Koby finished their cycling merit badge by riding 50 miles. They started about 8:30 AM and got back around 4 PM. They looked tired but pleased too. I am so proud of both of you!

Visitin' Papa and Gramma

Over the weekend we took a little trip to Elsinore to visit my parents. Both of my brothers and their families were there.

We had a great time visiting, eating, watching football(more enjoyable for some) and a movie.

The kids spent time at the milk barn seeing the cows & kittens. Both Steve and Matt had a great time giving the kids rides on the four wheeler.

I think I figured out where Peyton gets the really cheesy "cheese" look for pictures.

The only bad part is that it went by way too fast!

Biking

Over the past several weeks Steve and Koby have been working on cycling merit badge for scouts. Thank goodness I don't have to do more than drop offs/pick ups. I would never make it!

On Saturday the boys did 25 miles!

After about 10 miles one of the kids bike broke and so Steve let him ride his. Steve then rode in a truck for the rest of the way. But don't start thinking he was lazy! Nope not Steve! He decided to bike home too. Which meant that he actually biked about 35 miles. Way to go honey!

Next Saturday they are doing another 25 mile ride and the following Saturday they are planning a 50 mile ride.

(Doesn't sound like much fun to me but the guys seem to enjoy it!)

Koby goes to the dance

Last night Koby went with his friends to his first jr. high school dance.

I don't like it!

He is still my little boy and he is too little to be off dancing with girls.

(on the other hand Morgan had a great time creating a "ball" for her Barbies & Steve dolls-all her Ken dolls have been renamed, Steve!)

Morgan goes to Kindergarten

Yesterday was Miss. Morgan's first day of school. She was so excited! Steve stayed home from work to be with her on her special day-thankfully he took lots of pictures. What a great daddy!

Waiting...
Steve said that about every 10 minutes she would ask if it was time to go yet.

Morgan LOVED riding the bus! Here she is climbing aboard with her friends.

Steve even captured her coming home...doesn't she look so happy?

As most of you know, Morgan is quite the talker and last night she had plenty to say. I can't believe my baby Morg is old enough to go to school...sniff...sniff!
