10th grade wrestling
This year was a pretty tough wrestling year for Koby. He was at a new school, new team mates, new coaches, new weight. He went back to being the youngest on the team again. He had a concussion that put him out of commission for about a month right in the middle of the season. He had a few wins and a lot of losses-which he chose to learn from. The most impressive thing is that Koby didn't quit. In general wrestling teams end up much smaller by the end of the season due to kids dropping out or becoming injured. Koby went to practices even after his season ended so that he could help the guys that were going to state. He just kept working hard and we are proud of him for that. On Tuesday night we had the SHS wrestling awards banquet. It was a nice dinner for the wrestlers and their parents. We ate, watched a slide show and then they gave out awards. Koby was able to receive a letter for wrestling plus he was awarded the most improved sophomore on the team.
We are expecting a great wrestling season next year! I know he will do great.
