Yes, it has already been a year and it has definitely gone fast.
We had a fun little celebration at home with our own little family. We have a family tradition that when our baby turns one we do handmade gifts, at that age the baby usually doesn't need anything and they are too young to tell you what they want. So we each created our own little gift for Maylee. Steve painted this cute little stool for her. Sorry that you can't see the picture very well, she loves to sit on it.
She was really loving all of the attention, the balloons, presents, and cake. She was so cute opening her presents-she would rip a little piece of paper off and give it to Morgan. I also loved seeing her little tongue stick out while she concentrates so hard on opening the gifts.
She had a great time eating her cake too!
Yesterday I took Maylee to the doctor for her 1 yr check up. She is 27 3/4 inches long, weighs 19 lbs 8 oz. Her weight is in the 20% and her height is in the 10th percentile. She got 2 new teeth over the weekend so in two weeks she got her first three teeth. She is such a sweet fun girl. We adore her!
PS-this is what we get when we tell her to say cheese.
