Christmas 2013

Christmas was so wonderful this year! Steve had to work the day before and the day after Christmas so we decided to stay at home and visit family after the holiday. We got to have family game night and movie night, and spend so much time together-it was wonderful! Two weekends before Christmas Koby got a concussion at his wrestling match and was on a very restricted schedule-he was supposed to sleep as much as possible, no physical activity, little mental activity; no texting, driving, video games, movies, homework or social life. Because of his restrictions we got to spend a lot more time with Koby which I loved, so I can't say that the concussion was all bad. Thankfully he is doing well and is starting to be able to do all of his normal activities again. On Christmas eve while Koby spent some time with his friend Jose, the rest of us went to a movie. We saw Cloudy with a chance of meatball 2-it was very funny! I guess everyone was busy shopping for last minute Christmas gifts because there was hardly anyone at the theater. We may have to make that a family tradition. We finished the movie at 5:30 and met Koby at home to have a nice yummy spaghetti dinner. Then we let everyone open one gift, read the Nativity and watched a few Christmas movies. We got everyone to bed and waited for Santa's arrival. Morgan must have been very excited because she was still awake at 2AM! Christmas morning we got to sleep in until about 8:00 and then we opened our gifts. Everyone got what they asked for and seemed happy! We got to hang out and play with our new toys and gifts. My brother and his family dropped by to give Maylee a bike and to visit for a while. That evening we had a fancy candle light dinner of turkey and all the fixin's. Later we got a special visit from Steve's brother Jason and his awesome wife Savannah who are currently living in CA. They arrived just in time for some homemade pie. We got to visit and the girls showed them all of their new presents.
Sorry for the picture overload!
