Surprise Pre-Birthday Party

This year for Koby's birthday we decided to get him camping gear. He enjoys it and since he will be a scout we figured more camping is in his future. Anyway we got his gifts early and wrapped them and hid them and planned to give him his presents on his birthday which is October 25th-Sunday. We later found out that Koby would be going on a campout for scouts on Friday night October 23rd. So we decided to give him his presents early! And rather than just open presents we decided to have a small party.

While Steve and Koby were at scouts Morgan and I decorated and prepared. We hung streamers, blew up balloons (maybe that is why I still feel light headed-about 20 balloons!), bought cupcakes and then waited and waited for them to get home.

I have to say that we really surprised Koby. He almost dropped everything he was carrying...



We sang to him and had him blow out the candle on his cupcake...


he opened presents and felt spoiled...







It was a lot of fun. I have to say I was pretty amazed that Morgan was able to keep the secret for so long-four days of secrecy for a four year old can't be too easy! Way to go Morgan!
