I often have a hard time talking about difficult things so I am taking the easy way out and writing it once. The less people I have to tell the better.
I recently told several people that I was expecting a baby. Yesterday I was 10 weeks. Unfortunately on Wednesday I began having some problems so I phoned the doctor and he had me come in for an ultrasound. We found out that our baby was dead and had been for about three weeks. Although this news was very devastating for us, we know that everything will work out. And though I had all ready come to love and anticipate having this baby become a part of our family, I am grateful for all the blessing that I have and I know that everything will be fine.
In the few days since this awful news I felt comfort and love from my Heavenly Father. We have received much support and love from our family and friends and we greatly appreciate you all.

Our little flower girl
On Friday night Morgan got to be the flower girl at Steve's sister's wedding. She looked so adorable. After the ceremony Morgan had a blast dancing. She got her daddy out on the dance floor and then both of her male cousins-even though Cayden claimed "that dancing is gross!", he did dance with Morgan on stage behind the curtain.
Koby refused to dance so he was pretty bored at the reception. Here are some pictures of the beautiful flower girl-I am not prejudiced or anything-she is the cutest flower girl!

Dancin' the night away

Here is Kathy walking down the aisle, Koby and I trying to be cool and not dance and Morgan with Aunt Kathy.

Morgan loves a good party-all she needs is music and pretty dress!

Parent teacher conference
Last Thursday we met with Koby's teacher. He is doing very well and his teacher says he is a great student. All of his grades except one are over 100% (Keyboarding he got a 98%)! His teacher has promised that they will be starting a gifted program in the next couple of weeks-I hope so cuz we don't want school to be too easy for him! I am very proud of my genius! Way to go Koby!

January Blahs
I haven't written for a while-mostly because I have been really busy with work, church callings, running kids around and trying to fit everything in.
Another reason is because the ugly air outside is making me feel blah! Between the cold weather and the inversion I feel like burrowing down into my bed until about mid-April. Tell me again why don't humans get to hibernate?

Christmas 2009
Christmas Morning

A few of the gifts

SMILIN'

I made these tutus for my nieces for Christmas.

Steve enjoying Morgan's Karaoke machine...

Morgan enjoyed playing with my sisters new horse...um... I mean her new dog, Shadow.
Christmas was really great. Everyone loved their gifts, we spent a lot of time with family and with each other.

Scholar of the Month
Yesterday Koby got an award at school for Scholar of the Month. Morgan and I attended the assembly to see his moment of glory. The gym was full with students, teachers and parents and it was noisy! Morgan said to me, "Mom it's really annoying here." But here she is saying, "YEAH Koby!"
Anyway we had to sit behind all the kids so I didn't get many photo ops. I think Koby would have been embarrassed if I had run up the aisle and then laid on the floor in order to capture this Kodak moment. Instead I took pictures after. (Am I not an awesome un-embarrassing mother?)
We are very proud of our brilliant Koby and it was not a surprise to hear that he was chosen as scholar of the month. Way to go, Koby, we love you!
