My little Morgan is growing up!

Tomorrow Morgan will be turning eight! I can't believe how fast the years have gone. We sure do love this girl. She is so smart, beautiful, creative, talented, athletic, kind, loving and fun! She brings so much laughter, music and drama into our home. Morgan is my first daughter and she was sure a shock to my tom-boyish attitude. She loves all the frilly girl stuff-in fact at age 4 she told me she wished I had named her sparkle. She is so girly-except on the soccer field and then she kind of turns into an animal. She refers to herself as Morgan in the middle and that is how she likes to be-right smack in the middle-middle of the action, middle of all the attention, middle of all the hugs and love. Happy birthday to my sweet beautiful girl-Morgan you rock!

Wrestling PS

Koby is ranked! This is amazing since it is only his 2nd year wrestling. In the state of Utah, Koby is ranked 5th in the 130 lb weight class. We are so proud of him!

Wrestling

Folkstyle wrestling is starting to wind down-Koby only has one more tournament left. We will then have a one week break before he begins freestyle wrestling. Oh the life of a wrestling family! In the past two weeks Koby has gone to two great tournaments. The first was a national tournament in Richfield, Utah. The really nice thing about this one is that my parents live close by so we had a place to stay and they were able to attend part of the tournament to help us cheer on Koby. We were at the tournament from 8:30am-7pm and that made for a very long day. Koby placed 6th in this one-I was so proud of him. In his weight class there was 16 boys and they came from as far away as North Dakota.
Steve was not able to attend since he was camping with the scouts. Morgan left with my parents when they had to go milk the cows but Maylee stayed with me the whole time. She does so well and complains less than Morgan! Last weekend was the state tournament at Alta high. Koby placed second! There was 17 kids in his bracket and the only person he lost to was the state champ from last year. It was another long day, we were there from 8:30-5pm. Steve's dad and step-mom got to come and help us cheer for Koby. It was nice to have someone to hang out with since Steve and Morgan had gone to Idaho for the weekend.
At the jr high district championship he placed third. I had to watch it online since it was on a Wednesday and I couldn't take off work. It was so stressful for me to watch on line and try not to yell out too loudly in the office. I couldn't help bragging about the 18 second pin that he did though! That was just amazing!
Koby has improved so much in a short time. This is only his second year wrestling and he continues to do well. We are so proud of Koby-he works so hard and always does his best. One of the most awesome things about Koby wrestling is what a good sport he is-he isn't boastful nor does he get upset by losses. What a good example!
Maylee is so good at all of these tournaments-I am glad because they tend to take up a lot of our time. She has started copying me when I yell out things like, "Go Koby!" and "Yes!", good thing I have a clean mouth and I only say positive things!
